Review: Benefit velvet eye shadow - leggy

Hi again!
Today I have a review on a benefit eye shadow. The one I am reviewing is a velvet eye shadow in the shade 'leggy'. As you know I don't wear eye shadow on a regular basis but I have worn this a good amount of times to be able to review it.

This eye shadow comes in a square container and is quite sturdy and I have so far not had any problems with it. Inside the square pan, there is 3g worth of product - which is enough to lat forever because the pigmentation is so good. These normally are sold for £13.50 but are now reduced to £6.75 on the benefit website. So get a good bargain while you can!

This eye shadow is very sheer with a small amount of shimmer in it. Maybe not a product for you if you prefer very bold eye looks! It blends nicely and with a slightly darker shadow gives a perfect every day look. Without a primer this shadow will definitely fade and crease as the day goes on but its easy to fix with the use of a primer!

Would I repurchase this?
- Possibly unless I find a dupe for it!

Price and where to buy?
- £13.50 (currently £6.75) at benefit website.

ESSENCE ESSENCE ESSENCE?!

Hi again!
As you may or may not know I live in northern Ireland - which is still part of the Uk - anyway I am lucky enough to have some essence products in my local chemist. Because almost everyone who reads my blog cant get their products I thought I would make them available to you. All you have to have is a paypal account to pay me through or I can also take money through the post if its over £10. I can not get the full range but I can get more than some people. If you are interested in buying these of me please comment down below and we will sort something out. Also the current trend edition I can get is me&my ice cream (reviews coming soon). If you look on their website and find a product you would like, just ask and I will see if I can get it for you. I'm not sure how successful this idea will be but hopefully it will work. Rachael xx

My guide to pen palling #1

Hello again:)
This is probably a new fact for you all but recently I have started pen palling. I was looking on instagram one day when I noticed one of my followers had posted a picture asking for pen pals. This got me thinking, should I join the pen palling community? My answer, yes!
When I sat down to write my first letter I went blank. I had no idea what to write, what to say or how long to make it. I wrote three letters that day and now have eight pen pals! That might be too many. So, today I thought I would share with you all a few starter tips on joining the pen-palling community.
First you will need some paper, preferably lined but it doesn't really matter. Also you will need a range of colourful pens or pencils. You can just write in one colour although it makes it more pretty, cute and enjoyable to read! And then you will need some envelopes and stamps. I am also using my diary to keep track of when i sent and received the letters.
I was thinking of making this into a kind of series of posts on penpalling. Would anyone be interested in this?!
Rachael!x

Asda Bargains!

I was in Asda earlier today when i noticed some crates of reduced products at the front of the shop. When I noticed there was make up in there I just had to have a look. My expectations were not high so I was left amazed with what I found. I have not tried any of these yet.
First I was shocked to find the BRAND NEW maybelline rocket mascara. When I found this I thought to myself how can they reduce this. Normally this mascara is £7.99. I got it for £1.60. What a bargain!
Next I found another mascara, rimmel scandleyes. Normally this mascara is £6.99. I got it for £2.00. I also got another rimmel product - the stay matt powder. I got this in 02 rose blossom. This was £1.50. And last but not least I got a pack of bobbi pins for 50p.

Essence buys since November 2012!

I have been shopping alot since my last posts in November and I have gathered up some new essence products to show you all.

As you all know Essence launched a Twilight collection for the release of the last movie back in November so later that month my local chemist started to stock the range and is still stocking it now 3 months later but anyway. When I saw the collection I was amazed and fell in love with it! I picked up 3 of the nail polishes on my first visit and went back to pick up the shimmer powder but it was sold out so I came out with a lip gloss instead.

The 3 nail polishes are part of the breaking dawn collection and are:
#01 Jacobs protection
#02 Alice had a vision
#04 Edwards love
I have only swatched them on nail wheels so I can't really tell you much about them yet but they seem to be quite a thick formula which could be a problem. When I have used them all I will post a full review. Also there was a 4th one but it was a plain yellow toned gold that I would never wear. These were all £2.19 each.

The lip gloss is beautiful! It is a bright red with loads of shimmer although it does not come out as bright when applied on lips which is kind of a good thing i think. I will also post a review on this too and it was £2.19.

I also picked up 2 more nail polishes from the basic range. The first one is #04 space queen which is plain sparkles and in the old bottle. It was £1.09. The last one is #113 do you speak love? which is a dark red colour and it was £1.49.

That's everything I have brought from essence for now. If you want to know more about these products just leave a comment below:)

NOTD 11/11/12 :D

Hello again!

Just a quick post today on what I had on my nails this weekend. I was going out to a Friends party on Friday night and was running late as usual so I only got one coat on them. I didn't use a base or top coat either. It's Sunday night now and I have just taken a few quick pictures of them to show you all. I have been really impressed with this polish as it hasn't got any chips. I used a pastel purple colour by miss sporty which was £1.99.
